In January 2022, Afa Flow Control Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as AFA) participated in the bidding for the 750℃ high-temperature wear-resistant shut-off ball valve of the comprehensive utilization project of petroleum coke hydrogen ash of Guangdong Dongyue Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. This valve is a high-temperature special valve used in the comprehensive utilization project of petroleum coke hydrogen ash of Guangdong Dongyue Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (a supporting project of the 20 million tons/year heavy oil processing project of Sino-Venezuelan Guangdong Petrochemical), with an operating temperature of -29～750℃. Its operating conditions are harsh, with three “high” characteristics: high temperature, high solid content, and high particle wear possibility. Existing special valves at home and abroad are difficult to meet its performance and service life. AFA has carried out technical research on this working condition, and comprehensively optimized the solution from the aspects of structural design, material selection, manufacturing process, performance testing, etc.
In this bidding, AFA participated in the bidding with its high-temperature C-type shut-off ball valve solution with independent intellectual property rights and competed with many domestic and foreign industry leaders. After going through many rounds, it finally stood out and won the bid with its strong comprehensive strength, solid technology, customized details and cost-effective quotation. It pioneered the research and development of special valves for this working condition, filled the gap in the domestic market, demonstrated the brand advantage of AFA and established a good image of AFA in the research and development and manufacturing of special valves.
